GEL Utility Limited “GELUL” is a private power developer & operator with 84MW of Gas-Fired Off-Grid power plants in operations for the 4th Year running, which is dedicated to provision of uninterrupted, competitive and sustainable electricity supply to the Port Harcourt Refinery Complex, Rivers State (the largest and most complex refinery in Sub-Sahara Africa).
In strategic partnership with global OEMs of power plant technologies, GELUL is expended substantial capital and resources into designing LPG-to-Power solutions for deployment to customers who do not have supply access to Natural Gas, particularly to those customers reliant on the more expensive and environmentally less friendly Diesel and or Heavy Fuel Oil “HFO” for their captive/off-grid electric power supply requirements.
Operation & Maintenance
Based on our experience running an 84MW captive power plant within the Port Harcourt Refinery for over 3 years, with an availabilty of 99% and 100% HSE zero accident record, we have proven records of our capacity to deploy O&M at competitive pricing.
From our experience and collaboration with partners and businesses in metering sectors GELUL is able To deploy turnkey solutions, integrating all the element of modern metering system e.g. Oil and Gas, power generation and pipeline metering solutions.
With our field of experience we have carried out metering services in Nigeria and all types of gas and liquid installations.
GELUL in joint venture with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation “NNPC” and General Electric “GE” are in the advanced project development collaborative discussion of adding 250MW of additional Gas-Fired power plant capacity to the existing 84MW to bring the total operating capacity of the business to 334MW (the said 250MW of additional capacity is mainly dedicated to the national grid, with a portion earmarked for the local Electricity Distribution Company)
